A taste of new songs coming! From my unplugged house show in Kitchener last night. Thanks for the video, Paul Bruder.

It is the “world debut” :) of my new song, Speed Of Light. Unplugged at The William House Livingroom Concert on Sunday February 14th, 2016, the song is so new that I am reading lyrics off my laptop!

And in case you are wondering, my friends… that is the inimitable Devin Ereshan on electric guitar.

Check out this delightful painting by Natasha from Quesnel, BC inspired by my song, Even Though The Sky Was Falling!

Painting by Natasha Johanna Lepine

About the painting, Natasha wrote:
“we were laughing, we didn’t care
we pedaled faster into the wind, we let it carry us away
i thought we’d make it home, even though the sky was falling”

Been pushing myself to finish this piece, but it’s finally done! :)”

…if I wore Kate Blanchette’s lips, eyelashes and curls…

Coming to the end of my tremendously relaxing couple of holiday weeks. Though clearly I am not *quite* finished. Rounded out with trips to the movies not once, but twice! First for “Star Wars” a few days ago and then last night to see “Carol”. There is some mighty fine cinema happening these days. I have the glamour lashes to prove it!

Went to see the new Star Wars movie this afternoon. Nostalgia in full, ahem… force. It was a good old fashioned adventure / sci-fi flick. And didn’t my heart just stir with happiness when Han Solo appeared on screen, swaggering like the quintessential anti-hero that he is.

If Harrison Ford had been on board
On the day you threw your keys out the window.
If Johnny Cash had hid your stash
Would you have needed to make a crash landing?
Or would you still be flying?

Wandering through the Christmas Market in Budapest on a night off. Came across these lovely folk playing carols on their horns…
