Shenanigans!

Tonight in TORONTO Karyn gets into some Shenanigans! with the Coincidence Men & friends. Karyn appears a special guest during this Improv Comedy show, singing two songs and helping to raise funds for Toronto Newsgirls Boxing Club.

“We’re back with more tequila-fueled comedy variety show goodness! Improv with The Coincidence Men and guests Kinsey Fail and Hot Garbage Players! Stand-up with that Merry Jane of Comedy Lianne Mauladin! And we’ve added the fresh flavour of ‘Ginger & Minge” aka Linda Julia Paolucci and Gordon Neill! Plus a few words from Savoy Howe!

Our musical guest will be Karyn Ellis! “[One of] Five must-see songstresses, NXNE Highlights: this delicate, sweetly-melodic Toronto songstress needs to be heard.” ~ Brad Wheeler, The Globe and Mail.

The proceeds from this month’s show will be a fundraiser for OUTSIDE THE RING, a a longtime recreational boxing program of the Toronto Newsgirls Boxing Club that caters to female-identified individuals who have experienced violence. Live in Düsseldorf: David Bowie Tribute Night!

ÜBER excited to be part of the David Bowie Tribute Night at Zakk’s here in Düsseldorf Germany THIS SATURDAY (Sept 23rd). The glitter is a-flowing and I’ve got a couple of hawt players joining me (Sascha Düx on guitar & Lorenz Naumann on piano & bass).

Come see me live out my dreeeeeeam!!!! Or if not for that, then come check out the myriad of awesome bands playing their renditions of Bowie songs. It is going to be E-P-I-C.

lädt die Band ONE EYE OPEN im September zum David Bowie Tribute ins Düsseldorfer Zakk ein.
Beim 6. “Evening with ONE EYE OPEN und Friends” setzten sechs junge Bands/Künstler dem im Januar 2016 verstorbenen Künstler
ein musikalisches Denkmal und interpretieren ihre wichtigsten Bowie Songs auf ganz eigene Art.

Oh boy, things have been quiet here on the website. Not so much because things haven’t been happening in my world, but because I have been swept up in the rush of traveling and touring and songwriting and moving (finally grabbed the rest of my things in BC and brought them back to Toronto, after four years in G.’s basement!) Took my reclaimed electric guitar and champ amp and gave it a whirl on two weeks of dates across Canada, with my buddy Richard Garvey. Been to Europe twice. In fact, that’s where I am now…

And so, let’s just change things up shall we?

Because THIS FRIDAY (SEPTEMBER 15th), I am playing in DÜSSELDORF, GERMANY at a festival called: Metro Unboxed. 19:00 to 22:00 at the Forum.

Then on SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 23rd, finally! A legitimate reason to wear my sparkly hot pants on stage…. I am part of a David Bowie Tribute Night hosted by One Eye Open, also in DÜSSELDORF. Oh yeaaaaaah!

By the way, Sascha Düx is playing electric guitar with me on both of these gigs, and Lorenz Naumann will tinkle keys and bass strings on the 23rd! I am a lucky, lucky human. You will be too, if you come to the shows. ;)
