After my Toronto show on Sat Sept 20th, there’s a mini-tour from Alberta to Ontario in the works: Marina MArina and I double-billing a few shows during last week of September/beginning of October.
Starts in Edmonton on Thursday Sept 25th with confirmed stops in Regina, Winnipeg, Thunderbay and Sudbury along the way. Working on a few more dates too. More details soon.
If you are on the Trans Canada and would like us to stop in to play in your town, message me at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll see if we can figure something out!
And as if that weren’t enough excitement, I logged back online today after the weekend away to discover this gem of a review of More Than A Hero on The Revue Music e-zine…
“…Have a listen to her most recent album (2013′s More Than a Hero) and you’ll get a good sense as to why she’s getting so much work. She’s firmly rooted in the folk tradition, with a soft whisper of a voice that will lull you into her world. The album sucks you right in, and before you know it, you’ve lost an afternoon listening…”

Just returned from an amazing weekend at Music on the Mountain festival in Fort St James, British Columbia. Last one of the season and it was a veritable shmorgs of music making!
I arrived to play a solo set and by the time I took the stage, I had assemble a six-piece + band of fellow festies including Iyan Bruvold (from Folk Strum Strum), Raghu Lokanathan, Apples, Elise Boeur, Sarah Elizabeth and Kenan Sungur (from High Society). Sweeeeeeet!
And that was just on stage! Over the course of the weekend I played with and listened to dozens of other musicians as well.
Tonight is the early to bed sort, and then I will be sharing news about how to reserve tickets for my September 20th CD soiree in Toronto!
